EHSQ Manager
Job Description: Huntsman has an opportunity for a EHSQ Manager who will join our Polyurethanes division in Wilton, UK. The role is wide-ranging and varied across all aspects of Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality and operates as a stand-alone support service to the manufacturing site. The EHSQ Manager will lead the management, development and implementation, of EHSQ programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. They will be managing a small team made of Huntsman associate and contractors and holding responsibility for all areas of EHSQ across a top tier COMAH regulated site. The role will require hands on approach whilst also acting in a strategic capacity as part of the Site Leadership team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience working in the field of environment, health, safety and quality, ideally in a chemical industrial setting. Role Responsibilities: As a EHSQ Manager, you will have the following responsibilities: Take a leading role in planning, coordinating, monitoring and implementing EHSQ policies and procedures, ensuring all operations comply with relevant legislation and company standards. Act as the Site EHSQ representative with third parties, including neighbouring businesses, local councils, and regulatory bodies. Take proactive steps to develop an environment of continuous improvement for EHSQ whilst working to a ‘Zero Harm’ strategy. Hold budgetary responsibility for all areas of EHSQ. Support line management in implementing changes through the guidance and training of staff. Contribute to process safety studies, particularly HAZOPs hazard studies and process hazard reviews. Participate in Facility Siting, Hazardous Area Classification and Fire Safety Management studies. Drive continuous development and enhancement of safety and environmental management systems at the sites, implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures to minimize accident rates and improve environmental performance. Drive EHS related culture, awareness and leadership at all levels across the organization. Ensure site implementation of corporate requirements, guidelines, and standards, promote definition of Huntsman EHSQ standards were required as well as implementation of best practice. Lead the site EHSQ KPI targets and obtain continuous improvement, ensure timely reporting of performance and corrective actions. Experience and Competencies: We are looking for experienced candidates with excellent communication skills and a solution focused approach. Key Requirements 8-10+ years EHSQ experience operating on chemical manufacturing site or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent EHS Qualification e.g. NEBOSH Diploma. Proficient in Operational and EHS standards and regulations within the Chemical, Oil, Gas or Pharmaceutical sectors. Working knowledge of ISO Internal Auditing processes. COSHH/Occupational Hygiene Training/ Monitoring training Experience. Environmental Management System Certification is a plus. Understanding of Process Safety / PSSRs would be desirable. Microsoft Office knowledge. Language: English.
