EICR Electrician - Sheffield
EICR Electrician – Innovative Electrical Inspection & Testing Role
Location: Sheffield, Barnsley, Chesterfield, Mansfield, and surrounding areas
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: £45,000 per annum
- Total Earnings Potential: Up to £55,000–£60,000 (inclusive of overtime)

Role Description
Join our growing team as an EICR Electrician, performing all facets of technical operations. This isn’t a traditional field role—it’s a chance to drive growth, embrace technology, and sharpen your skills daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver efficient, compliance-inspected electrical systems across diverse environments.
- Document project details accurately, adhere to BS7671 (2018) guidelines, and record technical information.
- Resolve workflow challenges—technical and non-technical—within timelines.
- Leverage emerging tech: Engage with smart tools, from advanced instrumentation to proprietary predictive software.
- Promote continuous improvement by:
- Proposing new processes
- Optimising client interactions
- Aligning practice with performance metrics
- Collaborate across disciplines, from operations to research & development.
This isn’t exhaustive—expect flexibility to support growth in a dynamic field.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Technical Requirements
- Qualified (2391 or equivalent) with hands-on experience in inspection & testing.
- Deep familiarity with modern test equipment (e.g., in-panel, condition-wide monitoring hardware).
- Strong grasp of BS7671 (2018), particularly:
- High-voltage systems (preferred but inclusive of HVN)
- Voice of Industry debates (modern safety terminology, such as SPD systems)
- Documenting modifications.
- A proven track record for fault-finding (not essential but beneficial).
- Exposure to engineering hardware (busbar testing, cabling systems, etc.).
