Job role: Nights Support Worker

Location: Heathside & The Mews Penketh, Warrington, WA5 2EY

Hours: 36-42 Hour per week

Salary: £12.71 per hour (plus an extra £1 night enhancement )

Service Brief:

Heathside is a 37 bed residential home based in Penketh. The team at Heathside provide a service for older people and people with dementia who need the support and safety of a shared living environment.

The service supports residents with their day to day living needs, personal care and other areas which help people to live their life in a way that meets their needs, wants and wishes.

You will work as part of a team to ensure the needs of the residents are met during the course of the shift.

WCL Support Worker Brief:

Provide professional, high quality support to people within their own home and other environments in a way which maximises their choice and independence; allowing them to have a high quality of life and make their own decisions while supporting and living out our Values within your role.

You will be required to deliver person centred support to meet the care needs, which includes but is not limited to personal, practical, social and domestic support, which is agreed within an individual care plan while exemplifying best practice at all times. Support should promote the individual's health and well-being and support them to be active members within their living environment and their local community. This role will also be involved in giving medication to the residents.

The work will involve developing professional working relationships with families, colleagues, from WCL and other agencies. You will be responsible for completing relevant documentation for the people being supported compliance with guidance, statutory regulation and WCL policies and procedures.

To ensure high quality service all our support workers must have or be committed to working toward a level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care, we will invest in you and all we ask in return is your commitment to this for your own development and the development of our services.

You will work as part of a team to ensure that the needs of the individuals we support are met through the course of the night shift. Whilst experience is preferred, whether through Support Work, Care Assistant roles or through supporting friends or family members, it isn't essential as full training and support will be given.

  • Christmas Enhancement (Double Time) - allocated Christmas hours worked will be rewarded with double-time pay.
  • Ongoing investment in new technology - including care plan and rota apps, with full training provided!
  • Shifts available across a range of services; made available through our online rota system. This could be same day shifts or in the future. Book shifts that fit with your availability, days, nights, weekdays, weeknights, weekends. A range of shifts available, from 3 hour shifts up to 12 hours and sleep in shifts
