Elderly & Dementia Support Worker – Nights

Service: Heathside Mews

Hours per week: 24 hours (Nights)

Salary: £12.71 per hour (+ £1 per hour Night Enhancement)

Location: Penketh, Warrington

⚠️ This role is open to female applicants only. This is due to the specific care and personal requirements of the individual you would support, who has expressed a preference for a female support worker.

About Heathside and The Mews

We provide care for older people and those with dementia in our residential homes, Heathside and The Mews. These homes offer:

  • Heathside: A permanent residence for 37 residents with a cozy, homely environment.
  • The Mews: Short-term respite stays in a 25-bed home with a light, modern, airy feel.

Both homes are located adjacent to one another and collaborate on activities, but each offers a distinct experience tailored to residents’ needs. Our care philosophy centres on personalisation: we avoid a one-size-fits-all approach and instead:

  • Get to know each individual completely.
  • Create bespoke support plans.
  • Adapt to personal preferences—even down to their morning routine.

A Day in the Life

Your role will be person-centred, ensuring every individual receives support exclusive to their unique needs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering personal care (e.g., hygiene, mobility, meals).
  • Providing companionship and maintaining dignity in daily activities.
  • Respecting life histories and supporting residents in hobbies/activities they enjoy.
  • Celebrating individuality while fostering a safe and comforting environment.
  • Working with comprehensive training and the strong support of your team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
