Wireperson

Salary: £26,926 - £30,170 per annum (£13.45 - £15.07 per hour), depending on experience

Hours: 38.5 hours per week over 4.5 days (with a half day finish every Friday)

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

We are seeking motivated and reliable Wirepersons to join our production team. We have opportunities available for candidates ranging from those with little or no previous experience but a strong aptitude for electrical assembly, through to individuals with existing wiring and assembly experience looking to further develop their skills.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive manufacturing environment where training and development are encouraged.

The Role

As a Wireperson, you will be responsible for wiring and assembling electrical sub-assemblies and assemblies to required specifications, drawings, and quality standards. Working as part of the production team, you will contribute to the efficient manufacture of products while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and check kits of parts against specifications, drawings, and issued documentation.
  • Assemble electrical sub-assemblies and assemblies to required standards.
  • Wire assemblies and systems in accordance with drawings and layouts.
  • Identify and report any inconsistencies within documentation.
  • Carry out fault rectification as instructed.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Complete work to quality and production targets.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area using 5S principles.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties as required.
