The role will involve ensuring electrical installation activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design requirements, quality standards, and project schedules. This includes reviewing technical documentation produced by the design authority, supporting field installation teams, resolving technical queries, and ensuring installed systems meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
Main Responsibilities

- Provide technical support to construction and installation teams, ensuring work is completed in accordance with approved designs and quality requirements.
- Monitor installation progress, identifying and resolving engineering and technical issues that may impact safety, quality, or programme delivery.
- Support inspection and verification activities to ensure electrical installations comply with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering, construction, commissioning, and quality teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Assist in the management of technical queries, non-conformances, and design change requests relating to electrical installation activities.
- Contribute to construction planning and work package development, ensuring installation activities are effectively sequenced and resourced.
- Apply industry best practice and lessons learned to continuously improve installation methods, safety performance, and project outcomes.
- Support commissioning readiness activities, ensuring electrical systems are installed, documented, and handed over in accordance with project requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
