Electrical Construction Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join our project team in Blyth, United Kingdom. This role will be responsible for managing all Electrical works on site, ensuring delivery is achieved safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all Electrical construction activities across the project lifecycle
- Lead day-to-day electrical site operations in coordination with the wider project team
- Ensure QA/QC processes are implemented and maintained in line with project specifications and standards
- Coordinate project schedules with Planners, Project Managers, subcontractors, consultants, and design teams
- Manage electrical subcontractor performance, including progress tracking, manpower levels, and coordination meetings
- Ensure all subcontractor documentation, including safety documentation, is maintained and up to date
- Attend and lead Site Meetings, Engineering Reviews, Planning Meetings, and Handover Meetings
- Liaise with the design team to ensure construction information and technical submittals are issued in line with programme requirements
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure quality, compliance, and buildability of electrical systems
- Ensure adherence to health & safety standards and drive a strong safety culture on site
- Support commercial management by tracking variations, managing costs, and attending weekly commercial meetings
- Issue progress reports to senior management and the project team
- Manage electrical snagging activities and ensure effective and timely close-out
- Proactively identify and resolve technical, design, and coordination issues

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or similar discipline
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience within electrical construction, with a focus on site management
- Proven experience managing electrical systems on large-scale construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, coordination, and programme delivery
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, installation practices, and commissioning processes
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and drive project delivery
- Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
