Our client is a leading international engineering and construction contractor delivering some of the world's most complex and technically advanced projects. Due to continued growth and the commencement of a major hyperscale data centre development in Blyth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join their project delivery team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on a landmark project while building a long-term career with an organisation that has a strong pipeline of mission-critical developments across the UK and Europe.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Director, the Electrical Construction Manager will take ownership of the electrical construction package, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, manage client and stakeholder relationships, and drive project delivery from installation through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of electrical construction activities across the project.
  • Lead and coordinate Electrical Supervisors, engineers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company and project procedures.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure delivery against programme milestones.
  • Attend and lead project meetings with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate labour, materials, equipment and resources required for successful project execution.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Drive quality standards and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Support commissioning, testing and project handover activities.
  • Produce regular progress reports and updates for senior management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
