Job Description
Informs the strategic vision for next-generation electrical system architectures, driving innovation that advances industry benchmarks and aligns with enterprise-wide product and business goals. Architects enterprise-wide component strategies and system optimization frameworks and leads the resolution of critical component-level issues. Informs enterprise-level validation strategies, setting industry-leading benchmarks for electrical system performance, reliability, and efficiency. Establishes documentation best practices to streamline product iterations, accelerate development cycles, and enhance cross-functional collaboration. Leads thought leadership initiatives, driving research and development efforts that position Oracle as a leader in electrical system innovation.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Conceptual Design of Electrical Systems:
- Informs the strategic vision for next-generation electrical system architectures, driving innovation that advances industry benchmarks and aligns with enterprise-wide product and business goals.
- Leads the creation of long-range technical roadmaps, proactively integrating competitive insights, technology trends, and internal priorities to shape future product families and platform strategies.
- Champions the evaluation and adoption of disruptive technologies across electrical, mechanical, cooling, and power delivery disciplines.
- Redefines methodologies for performance, reliability, and scalability while ensuring alignment with cross-functional transformation initiatives.
- Owns and steers enterprise-critical design decisions, advising executive leadership on trade-offs across performance, security, reliability, power efficiency, thermal management, and manufacturability. Ensures solutions are future-ready and foundational to company success.
Detailed Design and Implementation:
- Architects enterprise-wide component strategies and system optimization frameworks, ensuring alignment with evolving standards, manufacturing feasibility, and long-term performance requirements.
- Leads high-stakes initiatives from concept through production, applying state-of-the-art modeling, simulation, and design analysis to set new benchmarks in system performance and efficiency.
- Advises executive and cross-functional stakeholders during design reviews, setting strategic Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and layout principles that maximize performance, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability across product lines.
- Leads resolution of critical component-level issues, shaping global policies on quality, compliance, and risk mitigation to ensure resilient, scalable deployments.
- Serves as a principal authority on subsystem integration, institutionalizing best practices and driving collaboration across electrical, firmware, and software teams to enable innovation and end-to-end product excellence.
Testing, Validation, and Debugging:
- Informs enterprise-level validation strategies, setting industry-leading benchmarks for electrical system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Architects and implements automation-driven validation platforms, enhancing scalability, adaptability, and real-time diagnostics across product lifecycles.
- Directs and mentors teams in executing sophisticated test plans, analyzing prototypes, and resolving mission-critical hardware challenges that impact production and market competitiveness.
- Provides executive-level guidance on risk assessment and failure analysis, ensuring electrical systems consistently meet stringent technical and regulatory standards.
- Leads complex sustaining engineering activities, including customer escalations, root cause analysis, alternate source qualifications, and end-of-life component issue resolution to maintain product integrity and business continuity.

Documentation and Process Development:
- Champions the development of enterprise-wide technical documentation frameworks, ensuring precision, consistency, and strategic alignment with business objectives.
- Establishes documentation best practices to streamline product iterations, accelerate development cycles, and enhance cross-functional collaboration.
- Leads formal design reviews, acting as the primary technical authority on electrical design trade-offs, ensuring optimal decision-making and long-term scalability.
Continuous Learning and Innovation:
- Leads thought leadership initiatives, driving research and development efforts that position Oracle as a leader in electrical system innovation.
- Establishes and nurtures expert engineering communities, fostering a culture of technical excellence through mentorship, cross-functional knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement programs.
- Identifies and spearheads high-impact innovation initiatives, leveraging deep domain expertise to influence long-term technology roadmaps and competitive differentiation.
- Participates in industry-standard bodies on behalf of Oracle when appropriate.
Additional Responsibilities (as Needed)
Electromagnetic Compatibility:
- Defines and drives the global compliance strategy for hardware products, ensuring alignment with complex safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and environmental regulations to support long-term product success across multiple markets.
- Leads cross-functional initiatives to embed compliance as a strategic component in hardware architecture, driving the integration of regulatory requirements at the earliest stages of product design and development, and influencing high-level decision-making across the organization.
- Anticipates and interprets evolving global regulatory landscapes, establishing forward-thinking frameworks and scalable processes to ensure continued market access, minimize compliance risks, and set industry standards for best practices in product development and certification.
- Develops internal tools to manage compliance documentation.

- Oversees timelines, deliverables, and budgets where applicable for projects or initiatives in the line of business that achieve critical business objectives, ensuring milestones are completed efficiently and in alignment with requirements. - Drives collaboration across multiple lines of business and external stakeholders to influence alignment on expectations, strategic objectives, and proposed solutions. Cultivates strategic partnerships with senior business leaders, stakeholders, and/or customers, pursuing opportunities for expanding partnerships and ensuring long-term organizational success. Promotes a culture of transparency and inclusivity where all voices are valued and respected.
Problem Solving:
- Serves as a technical expert and resource across the line of business to resolve high-impact, ambiguous, or novel issues using advanced methodologies and techniques. Drives strategic problem-solving initiatives, leveraging information and/or data from wide-ranging sources to ensure efficient resolution and prevent recurrence.
Continuous Learning:
- Leverages deep expertise of the industry and multiple areas to serve as a thought leader within Oracle and to mentor other leaders and experts. Contributes to the advancement of the field or industry through thought leadership (e.g., conference presentations, white papers, research contributions). Continuously builds expertise by anticipating future trends, technologies, and industry standards to develop best practices and strategic goals that position the line of business as an industry leader. - Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 12 years of experience in technical engineering
- OR
- Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 10 years of experience in technical engineering.
Job Skills:
- Same as prior level.
Preferred Job Qualifications
