We seek ** passionate ** ** electrical design engineers ** who believe in engineering excellence within highly regulated, safety-critical environments. This role requires:
- A Sole UK National with eligibility for security clearance.
- A commitment to designing safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions for industrial, defence, nuclear, energy, or infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed electrical designs for industrial and infrastructure projects.
- Produces and verifies electrical calculations (load assessments, cable sizing, voltage drop, fault level, protection studies).
- Creates engineering deliverables, including:
- Single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams
- Cable schedules, equipment layouts
- Technical specifications, design reports, and substantiation documentation
- Ensures compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements (e.g., BS 7671, IEC standards).
- Collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical, civil, structural engineers, and control system specialists).
- Supports design verification, validation, and technical assurance.
- Provides engineering support during installation, commissioning, and system testing.
- Manages technical queries, design changes, and configuration control throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree, HND, or HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in regulated industries delivering electrical design packages.
- Deep understanding of LV and HV power distribution systems.
- Proficiency in electrical calculations, technical specifications, and design substantiation.
- Knowledge of electrical design standards and HS&E compliance.
- Familiarity with design software (CAD, ETAP, Amtech, Trimble, AutoCAD Electrical).
- Ability to interpret customer needs into practical, compliant design solutions.

- Experience in defence, nuclear, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
- Expertise in software used for design reviews, hazard assessments, and safety documentation.
- Strong technical communication, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills.
