We’re looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join our Capital Programme team and help shape the future of the UK’s energy network. If you thrive on delivering high-quality designs, solving technical challenges, and working across diverse projects, this is your next big move.
🔧 What You’ll Do
- Produce high-quality electrical designs across a wide asset and connections portfolio
- Ensure all designs meet UKPN, CDM and industry standards
- Prepare concept and developed designs to cost, time and quality targets
- Collaborate with operations teams through enquiry to energisation
- Contribute to technical, commercial and procurement documentation
- Support continuous improvement and mentor colleagues

🎯 What You’ll Bring
- Electrical engineering background + degree (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of power system and protection design up to 132kV
- Experience with DNO/ENA standards
- Strong understanding of CDM 2015
- AutoCAD or MicroStation proficiency
- Strong team-working, problem-solving and safety mindset
