About the Role
A prosperous vacancy has emerged for an Electrical Design Engineer to assume a key position within the engineering team of Versalift United Kingdom Ltd in Kettering. Reporting to the Engineering Team Leader, you’ll join a dedicated, high-achieving collective. Diverse projects—from 3.5t Pick-Up installations to 16.5t Unimog platforms—await, alongside countless other bespoke conversions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance in crafting Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Technical Instructions (TIs).
- Own and maintain electrical design documentation to ensure the production team’s competences.
- Validate adherence to BS EN 280 (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) and regulatory standards across all applications.
- Collaborate globally with the design team to attain ag IL best practice.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of electrical designs—from initial customer engagement and requirements definition through to supporting the service team.

- BOM Management: Approve and refine Bill-of-Materials (BOMs) in Epicor ERP, prioritising Right-First-Time precision.
- Uphold UKCA (Conformité Européenne) compliance protocols.
Qualifications & Training
A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is mandatory.
