Your new role

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of electrical systems for a range of bespoke engineering projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing electrical schematics and wiring harnesses using CAD software
  • Developing automation systems, PLC programmes, and control logic
  • Supporting fault-finding and diagnostics in electrical systems
  • 🎛Selecting and integrating sensors, actuators, and industrial automation components
  • Contributing to problem-solving, system optimisation, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborating with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • A degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience in electrical design within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with PLC programming and industrial automation systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Knowledge of relevant electrical standards and regulations
