Electrical Design Engineer – Gaming (Light & Wonder)

About the Role

At Light & Wonder, we’re redefining the world of land-based gaming with innovative technology that shapes the future of electronic gaming machines. We’re seeking an ambitious Electrical Design Engineer to join our fast-paced, innovation-driven Gaming team, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Engineering.

This role involves designing and delivering cutting-edge mechanical and electromechanical solutions—from concept through implementation. You’ll work on recognisable brands worldwide, blending creativity with technical expertise to push boundaries in gaming technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality electrical designs meeting technical requirements and project goals
  • Create and maintain clear, compliant technical documentation, including BoMs, parts, and assemblies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and enhance electronic gaming machines
  • Provide accurate task estimates and keep project documentation up to date
  • Identify and mitigate risks while contributing to project planning
  • Gather, interpret, and document technical requirements aligned with stakeholder input
  • Maintain transparent traceability of changes in requirements documentation

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong hands-on experience with 3D CAD tools, ideially SolidWorks
  • Broad electrical engineering knowledge with practical design application
  • Understand design for manufacture (DFM) and value engineering principles
  • Prototyping and product development experience
  • Proven problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear communication to explain technical concepts across teams
  • Gaming industry familiarity (desirable, not essential)
  • Knowledge of PLM systems and electrical connectivity (advantageous)

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree/HNC/D in Electrical Engineering
