About The Role
We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing electrical design team based in Rochdale. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious engineer looking to develop their career within a specialist engineering environment, working alongside experienced senior engineers on a variety of technically challenging projects.
The role involves the design and coordination of electrical building services systems across highly regulated and technically complex facilities, including cleanrooms, laboratories, healthcare environments, and advanced manufacturing facilities.
You will initially support senior engineers and designers while developing the skills and experience required to take ownership of your own projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce design scopes, specifications, schedules and technical documentation for projects.
- Design LV distribution systems using ElectricalOM and Trimble ProDesign.
- Develop lighting and emergency lighting designs using Relux and DIALux.
- Produce LV distribution, earthing and schematic drawings using AutoCAD.
- Create and coordinate electrical building services layouts in REVIT.
Design And Coordinate Systems Including
- Small power and mechanical power
- Lighting and emergency lighting
- Earthing systems
- Access control and security systems
- CCTV
- Voice and data networks
- Fire detection and VESDA systems
- Solar PV and renewable energy systems
- Facilities monitoring systems
Ensure designs are accurate, compliant and coordinated with other disciplines throughout project delivery.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 Years' Experience In Electrical Building Services Design.
- Knowledge of BS7671:2018+A4:2026 Wiring Regulations.
- Full UK driving licence.

Understanding of UPS systems, Solar PV and renewable technologies.
Awareness of ATEX requirements would be advantageous.
