Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer (Control Panels)

Description:

We are hiring for our client, a well-established and growing engineering business, who are seeking to appoint an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Design Engineer to work on bespoke engineering solutions, collaborating closely with contractors and internal teams to deliver high-quality control panel designs.

The successful Electrical Design Engineer will play a key role in translating customer requirements into practical, manufacturable designs, supporting projects from concept through to delivery.

The Role:

  • Design bespoke control panels based on client engineering requirements
  • Produce detailed electrical schematics for manufacturing teams
  • Liaise regularly with Mechanical & Electrical Contractors
  • Ensure designs are practical, efficient and manufacturable
  • Support system testing, fault finding and commissioning where required
  • Work to project deadlines, ensuring delivery on time and within budget

The Person:

  • Experience in Electrical, HVAC, BMS or Process Control environments
  • Strong background in electrical design and engineering
  • Proficient in CAD packages such as Eplan, AutoCad or SolidWorks Electrical
  • Ability to create accurate schematic drawings for manufacture
  • Experience in control and instrumentation design is desirable
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines
