Responsibilities Will Include
- Assist with the production of new electrical designs from concept through to final manufacture.
- Undertaking design validation via calculation for electrical systems and equipment.
- Applying analysis outputs to demonstrate compliance with safety, functional and performance requirements.
- Liaising with test facilities, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers as required to satisfy the needs of a project.
- Undertaking testing of designed systems with a hands-on approach.
- Work in our on-site test facility to produce prototype set ups to verify electrical designs.
- Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle and an ability to apply good systems engineering practices to your work.
- Executing duties in accordance with Company procedures for training, health and safety, personnel, quality, and project requirements.
- Controlled issuing of drawings for production.
- Work with specialist subject areas including pressurised air and gas systems, hydraulic systems, and cooling systems.
- Assist with the team to compile/collate vessel electrical test documents for first of class build.
- Assist with production of Bill of Materials/part creation.

Qualifications And Experience
- Marine electrical background with minimum of 5 years industry experience or a degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience working with 3D CAD systems is advantageous but not critical.
- Maritime experience is a plus, but whatever your track record, high levels of technical expertise, personal drive and strong communication skills are particularly important.
- Experience with preparing and design specifications.
- Hazardous Voltages and CAN Bus experience is advantageous but not critical.
- Working with a close-knit team in design and development.
- Well-developed engineering skills with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Build, test and commissioning experience.
- A proactive individual with strong commitment and self-motivation.
- Willingness to embrace innovation and creativity – Lateral thinking is encouraged.
