Role Purpose
The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design of electrical building services, from concept through to detailed design, supporting Durata's project teams in delivering high quality, technically sound solutions that meet client requirements across our range of critical infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Design of electrical building services, including lighting, power, distribution and alarm systems.
- Design of emergency power systems, including generators, UPS and battery storage systems.
- Preparation of detailed design calculations associated with the above, using systems such as Relux and ElectricalOM.
- Liaising with the full design and project teams, developing schemes to suit client requirements.
Desirable Experience
- Managing projects and overseeing the installation of systems, ensuring works are completed to the highest standards.
- Data centre experience.
- Estimating costs of electrical installations and negotiating with subcontractors.

We're looking for an electrical design engineer who strives for excellence and takes pride in getting the technical detail right first time. You'll be a dedicated, hard-working individual, comfortable working across full design and project teams and confident developing schemes that meet exacting client standards on complex, fast-moving projects.

Skills and Experience
- Minimum HNC in Electrical or Building Services (or equivalent).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong understanding of electrical building services design principles.
- Experience preparing detailed design calculations, ideally using Relux and/or ElectricalOM.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or BIM software.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently across design and project teams.
