Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Reading | Working Arrangement: Hybrid Working || Compensation: Competitive Salary + Benefits
We're recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering business delivering major water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the UK.
The Role
You'll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, producing electrical designs for:
- Treatment works
- Pumping stations
- Associated infrastructure
What You'll Do
- Design LV electrical systems, MCCs, VSDs and control panels
- Produce:
- SLDs
- Cable schedules
- Load schedules
- Electrical schematics
- Complete electrical calculations and ensure compliance with BS7671
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients
- Support projects through design, installation and commissioning

Requirements
- Degree, HNC, or HND in Electrical Engineering
- 18th Edition qualified (C&G 2382)
- Profound experience in:
- Water or wastewater industries
- Process industries
- Familiarity with:
- AutoCAD 2D
- Trimble (Amtech)
- Strong knowledge of LV power distribution
