About the Role

An innovative and globally recognised manufacturing organisation is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join its expanding engineering team in Banbridge. With a strong reputation for delivering high-performance, design-led products to international markets, this company offers a dynamic, technology-driven environment focused on continuous improvement and innovation.

Your New Role

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of electrical systems for complex, high-value products. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to projects from initial concept through to production and certification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing electrical systems, wiring schematics, and harnesses
  • Producing detailed technical documentation and engineering drawings
  • Supporting new product introduction (NPI) and design for manufacture (DFM)
  • Collaborating with mechanical design, manufacturing, and quality teams
  • Conducting testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations
  • Supporting continuous improvement and innovation initiatives within the design team

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • A degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience in electrical design within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Proficiency in electrical CAD or schematic design tools
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and integration
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work within cross-functional teams

Desirable:

  • Experience within highly regulated industries
  • Knowledge of harness design and routing
  • Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting prototyping, testing, and certification processes
