Electrical Engineer (Building Services) – Defence & Security
Location: Remote (UK) with occasional site visits
Salary: Up to £60,000 (DOE)
Type: Permanent
Looking for a role where your designs genuinely matter, and where you can work on high-impact Defence & Security programmes without being tied to the office full-time? We’re hiring an Electrical Engineer (Building Services) to join a well-established engineering organisation delivering complex, regulated projects. You’ll take ownership of electrical building services design across the full lifecycle, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting delivery through to site.

What you’ll be doing
- Producing and developing electrical building services designs from concept through delivery
- Working closely with stakeholders to keep solutions safe, compliant, and buildable
- Supporting technical delivery—answering queries, resolving issues, and contributing to smooth project completion
- Attending occasional site visits (as required) to support installation/activity and resolve technical challenges

What we’re looking for
- Background in Electrical Engineering (building services/design delivery experience)
- Comfortable working in a highly regulated environment (Defence, Security, nuclear, critical infrastructure, etc.)
- Security clearance is required (or you must be eligible and willing to go through the clearance process)
- Strong communicator who can work effectively with internal teams, contractors, and clients
