Electrical Design Manager

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + Package and Benefits Location: Wales, occasional UK wide travel to sites Hybrid Working: 3 days office-based / 2 days remote

The Company

A leading and well-established M&E contractor delivering projects across the UK is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Manager to join their growing design team. Working on projects ranging from £2m to £30m across commercial, healthcare, education, Ministry of Justice and other public sector frameworks, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality design and installation solutions for Tier 1 contractors and direct clients alike. Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, they are looking to appoint an Electrical Design Manager to work alongside the Senior Design Manager, taking responsibility for the electrical design function and helping to lead a team of talented engineers.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing the electrical design team, ensuring the successful delivery of designs from pre-construction through to installation and project completion. You will act as the primary point of contact for all electrical design matters, overseeing the quality and technical accuracy of designs issued from the business whilst supporting project delivery teams throughout the construction lifecycle. The position offers a varied workload across multiple sectors and projects throughout the UK, requiring occasional travel for site surveys, design reviews, client meetings and installation inspections.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
