Job Title: Electrical Design Manager

Location: Dungannon

Description:

We are hiring for our client, a leading company within the engineering sector, seeking an experienced Electrical Design Manager to lead their electrical engineering team responsible for the design and development of ground support equipment. The successful candidate will oversee the entire engineering process from design and validation to production release, ensuring that all deliverables meet high standards of quality, cost, and timeline.

The Role:

  • Lead the electrical engineering team responsible for the design and development of ground support equipment.
  • Oversee engineering projects from concept through design, validation, and production release.
  • Ensure that all engineering deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with project budgets.
  • Allocate engineering resources effectively across multiple projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and decision-making support for complex engineering challenges.
  • Support new product development initiatives and continuous product enhancement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and facilitate career development planning for your team.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The Person:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 7 years of leadership experience within an engineering department.
  • Proven track record in designing electrical systems for heavy equipment, vehicle, or mobile machinery systems.
  • Strong experience using CAD tools (e.g., EPlan, SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical).
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, electrical integration, and machine operation.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience implementing engineering process improvements or design standardisation initiatives.
