About the Role
We’re seeking an Electrical & Electronics Technician to join our multidisciplinary team supporting revolutionary quantum hardware development.
As part of a highly skilled team, you’ll assist engineers, scientists, and researchers in building, integrating, and testing quantum computing platforms and linked systems. This role is your chance to work with next-gen trapped-ion quantum technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Ideal candidates exhibit a practical, methodical approach with hands-on experience in electrical/electronic assembly and scientific research/high-tech systems. If you thrive on attention to detail, enjoy troubleshooting complex hardware, and collaborate across engineering disciplines, you’d fit perfectly.

Responsibilities
- Assemble, integrate, and test electrical & electronic subsystems for advanced computing and scientific equipment
- Electrical wirings, cable preparations, connector assembly, and low-voltage system installations
- Precision mechanical and electronic assembly (PCB-based, following engineering drawings, schematics, and ISD’s)
- Maintain build records and technical documentation (procedures, specifications)
- Support prototype development, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with mechanical, optics, software, and science teams to deliver integrated systems
- Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient lab/workshop environment
Requirements
- 3+ years in engineering, scientific, or technical fields with proven skills in electronic systems assembly, testing, and integration
- Basic electrical & electronic troubleshooting, including:
- Use of standard test equipment
- Interpretation of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Experience with precision/sensitive components (e.g., electronic hardware, PCB assemblies, soldering)
- Laboratory/workshop expertise in controlled environments
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and ownership of tasks
