The Opportunity
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented professional to take overall responsibility for delivering all electrical requirements across our project portfolio, working closely with our designer and suppliers. This role involves collaborating with the commercial team to procure both offsite and onsite manufactured electrical systems and components, with a particular focus on offsite assembly and modularisation.
The successful candidate will closely monitor the progress of electrical works to ensure alignment with agreed programmes and budgets, while also conducting factory inspections and quality audits to maintain the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction for all electrical installations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of sustainable construction practices and manage engineering activities that support sustainable development goals.
- Collaborate with our designer and supply chain to support an integrated approach to offsite and onsite delivery.
- Ensure electrical designs and installations are fully coordinated with civil and mechanical elements.
- Apply technical expertise to the placement and administration of sub-contracts and material orders related to electrical equipment and systems. Review, vet, and approve supplier proposals and designs in line with project requirements.
- Actively engage with the supply chain to assess and enhance their capabilities, ensuring they contribute effectively to project delivery.
- Oversee electrical installation works, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, relevant electrical standards (e.g. BS 7671), and quality expectations.
- Develop accurate and logical programmes for electrical works and ensure integration with the overall project plan.
- Monitor and report on the progress and cost performance of electrical works and participate in project production meetings.
- Develop and implement quality assurance plans, maintaining thorough records in line with company standards and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with operational teams and relevant stakeholders to plan and successfully deliver outage and commissioning works with minimal disruption.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
