Liverpool or Manchester | 4-Day Week
Salary - Negotiable depending on experience.
We are an MEP consultancy with 20+ staff and offices in Liverpool and Manchester. We work across high-rise residential, commercial offices, and refurbishment schemes - including several active projects in the Manchester area - with in-house sustainability and CAD/Revit teams alongside our engineering disciplines. We're looking for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer who can take ownership of design packages and wants to grow into a senior role.
What The Role Involves
You'll be leading the electrical design on your own projects with senior support available, taking work from brief through to construction. Day-to-day, that means:

- Full electrical design including lighting, power, containment, fire detection, and small power systems
- Electrical load calculations, cable sizing, and voltage drop using Amtech or equivalent
- Producing detailed specifications, schedules, and design reports
- Working on high-rise and residential schemes with an understanding of BSR requirements and the gateway process
- Coordinating across disciplines and with our in-house Revit and sustainability teams
- Contributing to low-carbon and energy efficiency design strategies
- Supporting junior team members
What We're Looking For
- Degree-qualified in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, with 3-6 years' consultancy experience.
- Solid grounding in residential design - particularly high-rise buildings - is important, as is familiarity with BSR and HRB regulations.
- Commercial private sector experience is a plus.
- Confident using Amtech or similar electrical calculation tools.
- Working towards IEng registration is encouraged and supported.
