Electrical Engineer
^£55,000**
This role works in close collaboration with the Engineering Team to deliver safe, efficient vessels to our operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that your team and you comply with all Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices as required by current legislation and the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and practices
- Drive technical development of vessels and facilities to ensure the most effective and efficient operation
- Service and maintain all electrical systems on board UBTC vessels and engineering facilities
- Ensure all faults and works/repairs are logged and reported as appropriate in our compliance system
- Ensure that all UBTC vessels’ electrical systems are fully safety checked in line with company policy and statutory legislation
- Ensure all UBTC craft are kept in service and fully operational, prioritising maintenance during quieter periods
- Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance on vessels, including reasonable requests for additional support when needed
- Work with the senior engineering team to define, implement, and review technical improvements to the fleet and engineering facilities, providing full technical analysis as required by Head of Engineering and Vessel Appearance
- Undertake any other relevant duties or reasonable requests made by the Head of Department (HOD) or senior management team

Location and Travel
- Based at Trinity Buoy Wharf, with a shift pattern including nights
- Occasional travel to the Dry Dock, Tilbury
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified electrician or electrical engineer
- Compliance with British Standards of Wiring Regulations or equivalent
- Relevant working experience of:
- 12V, 24V, 415V, 3-Phase systems
- Engine-driven power generation systems
- HVAC experience
