Are you ready to help shape the future of clean energy by providing the electrical engineering expertise behind some of the UK and Ireland’s most important onshore renewable energy projects?

At EDF power solutions, we’re delivering an Electric UK and Ireland.

From early-stage development through to construction, commissioning, and handover, your work will help deliver safe, reliable, and high-performing electrical systems that support the transition to a net zero future.

The Opportunity

As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll join our Onshore Delivery Engineering team within the Central Technical Organisation, supporting a portfolio of onshore wind projects across the UK and Ireland. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors to deliver high-quality electrical engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, you’ll work on a hybrid basis from our Edinburgh office. We’re proud to offer a Flexible First approach, giving you the freedom to work comfortably from home while using the office as your base location.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence key engineering decisions, contribute to projects that support Britain’s transition to cleaner energy, and further develop your expertise across development, design, construction, and commissioning activities.

Why EDF power solutions?

We’re united by a shared ambition: to tackle climate change, shaping an Electric UK and Ireland. Our diverse team is growing fast, driven by innovation and a commitment to clean, green energy for all.

With technologies spanning onshore and offshore wind, solar, battery storage, and green hydrogen, we’re the UK and Ireland’s most diverse renewable generator. By 2035, we aim to deliver 10GW of low-carbon energy – and we’d love you to help us get there.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
