Regional Electrical Engineer

Salary: £55,000–£65,000 + car + benefits Location: UK | Regional travel (North or South England depending on location)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support HV/LV systems, transformers, switchgear, and hazardous area equipment
  • Provide technical guidance to operations and maintenance teams
  • Lead fault finding, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements
  • Ensure compliance with electrical standards and safety regulations
  • Support projects from design through to commissioning
  • Manage contractors, suppliers, and equipment upgrades

Requirements

  • Electrical engineering experience in industrial or high-hazard environments
  • Strong HV/LV systems knowledge
  • COMAH experience is essential
  • Understanding of ATEX, DSEAR, or similar regulations
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to read drawings
