Senior Electrical Engineer – Water & Wastewater Solutions

Envirogen Group UK Limited is seeking a skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer to strengthen our engineering team. You will develop and deploy electrical systems that drive environmental sustainability across our projects, delivering high-performance water and wastewater solutions aligned with strict health, safety, and compliance standards.

As a key contributor, you’ll design, test, and oversee installations while directly impacting the efficiency and effectiveness of our technologies. This role is ideal for proactive problem-solvers with a passion for sustainable engineering, offering an opportunity to pioneer progress in environmental innovation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for water and wastewater projects while ensuring adherence to strict regulatory and health & safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine solutions that enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
  • Create, interpret, and maintain detailed electrical schematics and layout drawings.
  • Specify and oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical infrastructure.
  • Conduct on-site assessments for compliance, troubleshooting, and performance validation.
  • Represent the company to clients, offering technical expertise and ensuring flawless execution of projects.
  • Stay updated with emerging NEC, UL, CSA, and IEEE standards, integrating new requirements as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

Technical & Professional

  • Valued experience as a Chartered/Electrotechnical Professional (EICA) (Competent Person status).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Extensive field experience in electrical engineering, particularly within water and wastewater sectors (advantageous).
  • Expertise in electrical system design, including control systems and instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in understanding and drafting detailed engineering schematics and layout drawings (e.g., AutoCAD, AutoPLANT, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with electrical installation and commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge of regulated standards such as NEC, UL, CSA, and IEEE, ensuring compliance is embedded in all design phases.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software:
    • CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, AutoPLANT).
    • Central systems tools (e.g., PLC programming/logic), or an aptitude for rapidly picking up relevant electrical engineering software.
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Wpliccalization).
