You can embrace your curiosity in a culture that celebrates new ideas and diverse perspectives. You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you.

To meet our growing UK business needs and future development aspirations, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Lighting & Energy Solutions team.

A Little More About Your Role

You will:

  • Support the delivery of low voltage electrical design and consultancy services, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team on a variety of engineering projects across the UK.
  • Assist experienced engineers in developing high-quality, compliant designs.
  • Build your technical knowledge and project experience across a diverse range of sectors.
  • Collaborate on projects for major public and private sector clients within a respected and ambitious company offering excellent career development opportunities.

Key project areas might include:

  • Small and large-scale Electrical Vehicle (EV) infrastructure feasibility studies, design, and technical assurance—from local authority (LEVI) schemes through to major multi-vector refuelling hubs, integrating megawatt charging systems and low-carbon fuels.
  • Specification and design of renewable energy generation and energy storage systems, supporting decarbonisation and net zero objectives.
  • Design of urban realm and regeneration projects to create safe, attractive, and functional public spaces.
  • Highway electrical design and technical assurance services for local authority and National Highways clients.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

No two days will be the same, but you could be expected to:

  • Assist in the delivery of electrical design work, supporting the development of safe, compliant, and buildable solutions.
  • Prepare calculations, drawings, reports, and technical documentation under the guidance of experienced engineers.
  • Support feasibility studies, design development, and technical assurance activities across a range of projects.
  • Assist with design reviews and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with relevant standards and client requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings, workshops, and site visits, recording actions and supporting project delivery.
  • Coordinate with colleagues from other disciplines to contribute to integrated design solutions.
  • Develop an understanding of project risks, safety considerations, and CDM (Construction Design and Management) requirements.
  • Support the preparation of bids, proposals, and technical submissions, where appropriate.
  • Build your knowledge of industry standards, design tools, and best practice through structured training and project experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
