We're looking for a Electrical Project Engineer to join our Thames Water team based on site in Maple Lodge, Rickmansworth.

Location

Maple Lodge, Rickmansworth

Hours

45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support the delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Thames Water region. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the design, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems from concept through to handover. This role offers excellent career development opportunities and is suitable for engineers from the water, utilities, manufacturing, infrastructure, power, rail and industrial sectors who are looking to further develop their project engineering career.

What will you be responsible for?

As an Electrical Project Engineer, you'll be working within the Thames Water West Region Team, supporting them in the delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Your day to day will include:

  • Supporting delivery of electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle and reviewing technical documentation
  • Coordinating electrical installations with site teams, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Attending Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests and commissioning activities
  • Supporting installation and commissioning activities associated with LV and HV systems under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Monitoring quality, safety and programme performance of electrical works and contributing to continuous improvement activities

What are we looking for?

This role of Electrical Project Engineer is great for you if:

  • You have an HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • You have experience within utilities, infrastructure, manufacturing, water, power generation or industrial environments
  • You have knowledge of industrial electrical installations, MCCs and power distribution systems
  • You understand health, safety and quality requirements on construction projects
  • You have good communication and stakeholder management skills, and hold a Full driving licence
