About the Role

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer or Senior Engineer to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions for built-environment projects.

Location & Environment

Join our ** Electrical team** in either our Bristol or Cardiff office.

Bristol

  • Our second-largest office, based in a vibrant, carbon-neutral-focused city.
  • Over 100+ MEP engineers and expanding specialist teams contribute to landmark projects.

Cardiff

  • A dynamic creative city with ambitious growth and carbon neutrality goals.

Key Responsibilities (Electrical Engineer & Senior Engineer)

Shared Duties

  • Take and deliver electrical designs from inception to completion.
  • Produce calculations, drawings, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and third-party consultants.
  • Review contractor submissions and check site installations against design intent.
  • Attend meetings (design, client, project) and assist with commissioning/testing and handover documentation.
  • Manage workloads to meet deadlines and monitor progress with senior leadership.
  • Mentor junior colleagues and support professional development.

Senior Engineer Additional Responsibilities

  • Develop project briefs and lead full delivery for small/large/complex schemes.
  • Exercise independent technical decision-making within cost constraints.
  • Delegate, manage, and supervise design teams.
  • Actively engage in commercial aspects (scope, risk, budget tracking).

About You

Essential Criteria

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Building Services Engineering (industry membership preferred).
  • Working towards or holding IEng/CEng.
  • Technical expertise in:
    • LV distribution
    • Lighting systems
    • Earthing/protection
    • Emergency/standby systems (must be able to create calculations/drawings).
  • Skilled with industry software (Revit, AutoCAD, Dialux, OM Electrical) and MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently—lead or support project elements/small projects (Engineer) or entire disciplines (Senior).
  • Demonstrated experience ensuring quality, meeting programs, and being commercially aware.
  • Stakeholder management: Experience with multidisciplinary collaboration and client/contractor communications.
  • Familiarity with site checking, testing, and commissioning approvals.

Preferred

  • (Senior) Demonstrates ability to mentor, delegate, and inspire colleagues.
