About the Role
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer or Senior Engineer to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions for built-environment projects.
Location & Environment
Join our ** Electrical team** in either our Bristol or Cardiff office.
Bristol
- Our second-largest office, based in a vibrant, carbon-neutral-focused city.

Key Responsibilities (Electrical Engineer & Senior Engineer)
Shared Duties
- Take and deliver electrical designs from inception to completion.
- Produce calculations, drawings, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and third-party consultants.
- Review contractor submissions and check site installations against design intent.
- Attend meetings (design, client, project) and assist with commissioning/testing and handover documentation.
- Manage workloads to meet deadlines and monitor progress with senior leadership.
- Mentor junior colleagues and support professional development.
Senior Engineer Additional Responsibilities
- Develop project briefs and lead full delivery for small/large/complex schemes.
- Exercise independent technical decision-making within cost constraints.
- Delegate, manage, and supervise design teams.
- Actively engage in commercial aspects (scope, risk, budget tracking).

About You
Essential Criteria
- Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Building Services Engineering (industry membership preferred).
- Working towards or holding IEng/CEng.
- Technical expertise in:
- LV distribution
- Lighting systems
- Earthing/protection
- Emergency/standby systems (must be able to create calculations/drawings).
- Skilled with industry software (Revit, AutoCAD, Dialux, OM Electrical) and MS Office.
- Ability to work independently—lead or support project elements/small projects (Engineer) or entire disciplines (Senior).
- Demonstrated experience ensuring quality, meeting programs, and being commercially aware.
- Stakeholder management: Experience with multidisciplinary collaboration and client/contractor communications.
- Familiarity with site checking, testing, and commissioning approvals.
Preferred
- (Senior) Demonstrates ability to mentor, delegate, and inspire colleagues.
