About the Role
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer or Senior Engineer to play a key role in delivering high-quality, sustainable electrical engineering solutions across diverse built environment projects.
Key Location & Context
You will join our Electrical team based in either our Bristol or Cardiff office.
- Bristol: Our second-largest office, where our team of 100+ MEP engineers has contributed to landmark projects in a vibrant, forward-thinking city aiming for carbon neutrality by 2030.
- Cardiff: A dynamic creative capital with bold growth and sustainability ambitions, ideal for joining our evolving Cardiff office.

As a trusted leader in the built environment sector, we shape high-impact projects—- healthcare, data centres, critical infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing/technology environments—ensuring transformative, sustainable solutions.
Working collaboratively with diverse engineering disciplines, you will lead project deliverables, manage internal teams, and liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary colleagues to achieve compliant, robust, and commercially aware outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
For All Roles:
- Take electrical design briefs from inception to completion.
- Produce design calculations, drawings, and technical documentation compliant with regulations, client standards, and design guides.
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency across deliverables.
- Coordinate electrical design with MEP disciplines and consultants.
- Review contractor submissions, check site installations, and witness testing/commissioning.
- Attend design, client, and project meetings, reporting progress.
- Assist with handover documentation and project site visits.
- Manage workload to meet programme deadlines and update line managers.
- Support the professional development of junior team members.
Additional Responsibilities for Senior Engineer:
- Develop project briefs and take full lead responsibility for electrical design on complex schemes.
- Exercise autonomy, make technical and commercial decisions within budget constraints.
- Delegate, mentor, and manage project teams to improve team performance.
- Actively engage in scope, risk, and cost control, ensuring project objectives are met.

About You
Essential Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Building Services Engineering
- Industry membership (IEng/CEng preferred)
- Strong technical expertise in:
- LV distribution
- Lighting
- Earthing/protection
- Emergency/standby systems
- Ability to produce calculations and drawings
- Proficiency in:
- Revit, AutoCAD, Dialux, OM Electrical
- Microsoft Office
- Experience working independently to deliver design elements or lead projects (depending on seniority).
- Excellent communication, with experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Site experience (checking, witnessing testing/commissioning, reviewing contractor submissions).
- Commercially aware with a commitment to programme adherence and quality.
- Strong team player who mentors colleagues (Senior role) and fosters professional development (Engineer role).
