About The Role
We’re seeking an Electrical Engineer or Senior Engineer to play a key role in delivering high-quality, sustainable electrical engineering solutions across diverse built environment projects.
This role is based in our Glasgow or Edinburgh office, allowing you to collaborate across both locations and contribute to projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
For Electrical Engineer
- Take briefs and deliver electrical design work from inception to completion.
- Produce electrical calculations, drawings, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations and client standards.
- Coordinate with MEP and specialist groups to align electrical design with other disciplines.
- Review contractor submissions, check site installations against design intent, and attend testing/commissioning activities.
- Manage workload to meet project timelines, reporting progress to your line manager.
- Support professional development of junior colleagues.
For Senior Engineer
All Electrical Engineer responsibilities, plus:
- Develop briefs and lead the electrical discipline on complex projects.
- Exercise considerable autonomy in technical decision-making and project delivery.
- Delegate tasks, manage teams, and mentor colleagues across projects.
- Actively engage in commercial aspects (scope, risk, cost control) to ensure budgetary compliance.
- Take full ownership for delivering electrical solutions on major schemes.
About You

Qualifications & Experience
Successful candidates will have:
- A degree or equivalent in Electrical/Building Services Engineering; industry membership is preferable.
- Demonstrating or working towards IEng/CEng registration.
- Strong technical expertise in:
- LV distribution
- Lighting design
- Earthing/protection systems
- Emergency/standby systems
- Ability to produce calculations and drawings accurately.
- Proficient with industry software:
- Revit, AutoCAD, Dialux, OM Electrical
- MS Office Suite
- Independent working capabilities:
- Deliver project elements as an Engineer or lead electrical disciplines/smaller projects as a Senior Engineer.
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience:
- Coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and consultants
- Hands-on experience in:
- Site checking
- Witnessing testing/commissioning activities
- Reviewing contractor submissions
- Commitment to quality standards, programme adherence, and commercial awareness.
- A supportive team mindset, with an emphasis on:
- Mentoring junior staff (expected of Senior Engineers)
- Continuous professional development (Engineers to support)
