Role: Electrical Engineer (Remote)
Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)
Job Type: Contract
Payout: $60 - $80/hour
Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a contract Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and validate electrical systems for high-impact projects across multiple industries. The role involves end-to-end engineering execution from concept to deployment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and simulate electrical circuits, power systems, and control systems using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
- Develop and review electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams in alignment with project requirements and safety regulations.
- Perform failure mode analysis, root cause investigations, and corrective actions for electrical subsystems and components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and systems engineers to integrate electrical components into full product solutions.
- Validate designs through prototyping, testing, and documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant certifications and regulatory frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience in electrical system design and development.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience designing and troubleshooting analog and digital circuits, power distribution, and embedded systems.
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as Altium, KiCad, or similar for schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Experience with simulation tools like SPICE, MATLAB, or Simulink for modeling and analysis of electrical systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards including IEC, UL, and IPC for electrical safety, testing, and manufacturing.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues under tight deadlines.
- Experience working in Agile or structured engineering environments with version control systems like Git.
