About the Role
Title: M&E Technician / Electrician Location: Edinburgh Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct routine predictive preventive maintenance (PPM) visits and reactive repairs for:
- Electrical services assets (Internal & External)
- Emergency Lighting
- Distribution Boards
- Taking meter readings
- Perform weekly sprinkler system bell testing
- Conduct daily/weekly inspections of:
- Plant rooms
- Switchrooms
- Roof areas
- Car parks
- Check plant room status and cleanliness
- Accompany sub-contractors on-site for PPM/reactive works as instructed
- Operate a tablet device with ECG’s Computerised Facility Management (CAFM) system to ensure compliance with PPM/reactive deadlines
- Develop positive working relationships with all stakeholders to enhance ECG’s professional reputation while safeguarding the client’s brand
- Collaborate with internal teams, including:
- Operations Director
- Technical Services Manager
- Compliance Team
- Security Team
Skills & Qualifications Required
Knowledge & Understanding
- Experience in the private FM (Facilities Management) sector
- Solid understanding of SFG20 service specification
- Strong customer communication skills
- Self-starter, able to work independently as a conscientious team player
- Organised communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- High-level verbal, written, and numeric competency
- Adaptable to the demands of a "World-Class" Retail and Leisure environment

Desirable (Retail/Shopping Centre Experience)
Experience in a retail destination or shopping centre

- Ability to prioritise workload effectively

Qualifications
- City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ Level II/III (18th Edition Electrical Installations 2382 | BS7671) (Essential)
- Inspection and Testing 2391-52 (Desirable)
