We are hiring! Circet Northern Ireland are hiring Electrical Engineering Graduates to join our Senior Authorised Person Development Programme.

About the Role

The Electrical Engineering Graduate - SAP Development Programme is designed to develop high-potential Electrical Engineering graduates into future operational power network professionals, with a structured pathway towards Senior Authorised Person capability. The role will provide intensive exposure to LV and HV network operations, outage planning, switching activities, fault and emergency response, permit systems, safety rules, field operations, client systems and operational leadership.

The programme is aimed at graduates who are interested in practical power systems, field engineering and live network operations rather than purely design-based engineering. It combines technical training, field mentoring, supervised switching exposure, competency assessment and operational leadership development. The longer-term objective is to build a pipeline of capable, safety-led Authorised Persons and future Senior Authorised Persons.

Location

  • Office base: Graville, Co. Tyrone
  • Field-based travel required to operational depots, substations, overhead line sites, project locations and client environments as required across counties Tyrone, Down and Armagh.
  • Duration: 2 years

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Progression Outcome

Successful completion of the programme should position the individual for progression into an Authorised Person / Junior SAP pathway or Senior Authorised Person candidate role, subject to formal competency review, authorisation requirements, business need and client approval processes.
