Electrical Estimator
Location: Bolton (BL5)

About DL M&E Building Services
DL M&E Building Services Ltd is a leading mechanical and electrical contractor delivering high-quality commercial building services projects across the UK. We have built long-standing relationships with some of the country's largest organisations within the commercial, leisure and transport sectors.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our Commercial Team based at our Bolton office.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Estimator with experience in design and build commercial projects to join a busy and growing business.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders on projects ranging from £100,000 to £15 million, working closely with suppliers, subcontractors, clients and our project delivery teams.
The successful candidate will be able to work independently, manage multiple tenders simultaneously and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate electrical estimates and tender submissions
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and employer's requirements
- Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Negotiating supplier and subcontractor prices
- Attending site surveys, pre-tender meetings and client meetings
- Identifying value engineering opportunities
- Liaising with project managers and the wider commercial team
- Maintaining estimating records and tender documentation
- Using estimating software to produce accurate cost plans and quotations
About You
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within the building services sector
- Experience pricing commercial design and build projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical building services installations
- Experience using estimating software
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Good communication and organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple tenders to tight deadlines

A HNC in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering Degree, or similar qualification would be advantageous; however, candidates with strong industry experience will also be considered.
A full UK driving licence is desirable as occasional travel and overnight stays may be required.
