About the Company

Due to continued growth and an expanding portfolio of projects, we are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Electrical Estimator to join our commercial team. About the Role

As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in securing new business by preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical installation projects. Working closely with the commercial and operational teams, you will:

  • Review tender documentation
  • Interpret drawings and specifications
  • Obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Produce detailed pricing submissions that align with both client expectations and company objectives
  • Assess project risks and opportunities
  • Prepare tender reports
  • Support value engineering exercises
  • Contribute to successful bid strategies

Throughout the estimating process, you will liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure all submissions are commercially sound, technically accurate, and delivered within required timescales.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical installation projects.

  • Produce detailed pricing submissions that align with client expectations and company objectives.
  • Assess project risks and opportunities.

  • Contribute to successful bid strategies.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have previous experience working as an Electrical Estimator within the construction industry and possess a strong understanding of electrical installations, building services, and current industry practices.

Required Skills

  • Confidence in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to produce detailed cost estimates.
  • Experience managing multiple tenders simultaneously.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving.

Pay range and compensation package

We offer a competitive salary of £40,000–£60,000+, negotiable depending on experience, together with the opportunity to join a business that is experiencing exceptional growth across the UK construction sector.
