Teams at IDS Group provide end-to-end service, from initial enquiry through design, delivery, and handover. The company offers consultation, design, and installation of copper, fibre, power and containment solutions, as well as managed services. These managed services include engineering support for smart hands activities such as racking, stacking, cabinet placement, patching, auditing, and all day two works.
Role Description
The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for electrical work on data centre and colocation projects, ensuring that proposals align with technical requirements and budget expectations. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Reviewing drawings and specifications
- Performing quantity take-offs
- Analyzing labour and material costs
- Preparing tender documents and bid submissions
The role will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to clarify scope, address technical queries, and support project planning and execution. The Electrical Estimator will also:
- Monitor cost impacts
- Assist with value engineering
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical standards and industry pricing
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Fleet.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Electrical Estimating and Cost Control for construction or data centre projects
- Experience in Electrical Contracting and practical knowledge of Electricity systems in commercial or industrial environments
- Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, including reading technical drawings and understanding relevant standards and regulations
- Proficiency with estimating software or spreadsheets, and strong numerical and analytical abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external partners
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines

Desirable:
- A relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in electrical engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in data centres or similar environments
