Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per year (depending on experience)

Role Description

This is a full-time, remote Electrical Estimator role supporting UK electrical contractors with comprehensive estimating services. The Electrical Estimator will review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical installations. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The role involves close collaboration with company directors, project managers, and electrical contracting teams, tracking cost changes, and updating estimates as needed. The Electrical Estimator will also contribute to cost control insights, maintain estimating databases, and support the preparation of tender submissions and client proposals.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in Electrical Estimating, including preparing detailed cost breakdowns for electrical projects.
  • Strong Cost Control skills with the ability to analyze budgets, monitor variances, and support financially efficient project delivery.
  • Experience within Electrical Contracting environments, with an understanding of typical workflows, roles, and industry practices.
  • Solid technical knowledge of principles relevant to building services and installations.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office (especially Excel) for pricing, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with internal teams and external clients.
  • Previous experience in an estimating or similar role within the electrical sector is preferred.
