The Role

We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Field Service Engineer to join our production team. This is a varied role within an industrial utilities’ environment, where you will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding, and improving critical water and wastewater assets. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance, reliability, and continuous improvement across the site.

A typical day may include fault finding a three-phase pump circuit in the morning, completing planned maintenance on control panels in the afternoon, and supporting automation improvements or contractor works as required.

You will benefit from starting your day from home, using a fully equipped company van, travelling to site as required. The role offers a strong blend of planned maintenance, reactive fault finding, and improvement work, with excellent long-term stability and development opportunities.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical works
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults to minimise downtime and ensure asset reliability
  • Working on a range of industrial electrical systems across operational sites
  • Supporting capital and operational project work
  • Working safely in confined spaces and high-risk environments
  • Collaborating with internal teams and supervising electrical contractors
  • Accurately recording maintenance activities and complying with safety procedures
  • Participating in a standby rota (1 in 6), supporting critical assets, with standby payments in addition to salary where applicable

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
