The role involves supporting electrical systems across a complex defence estate. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to build technical expertise in a dynamic environment that supports national security.
Responsibilities
As an Electrical Fitter, your key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
- Identifying faults, defects, and required alterations to maintain performance and reliability
- Supporting trades, collaborating with colleagues across maintenance teams
- Ensuring all work aligns with safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Suggesting improvements to systems and processes for enhanced efficiency

Location & Hours This is a full-time role working 36 hours per week, based on site at HMNB Clyde.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
Experience
- Experience working with electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance processes
- Knowledge of regulations, health and safety standards, and documentation
- Carrying out electrical fault finding, repairs, and installation work
- Ability to work within controlled environments, adhering to safe systems of work
Qualifications
- SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Maintenance, or equivalent (essential)
- 2391 Test and Inspection qualification (advantageous)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National and able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
