Engineering Technician (Electrical - LRU Rebuild & Repair)

Requirements
This role is seeking a proficient Time-served Electrical Technician with:
- 10 years+ relevant experience in the electrical sector
- FA fault-finding skills (following completion of a survey)
- Experience with:
- PCB repair
- Soldering & general electrical work
- Experience (or transferable skills) within an MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) environment

Successful candidates must be able to:
- Demonstrate equivalent depth of knowledge/experience via a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent training.
- Work with ITAR-controlled aerospace technology, meaning applicants may be required to undergo additional counterpart vetting as part of the recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Process Compliance
- Strip, survey and rebuild electrical LRUs (Line Replaceable Units / "Black Boxes") to engineering standards, ensuring precise adherence to procedural protocols.
- Perform PCB-level component repair with high accuracy.
- Structured survey and repair processes aligned with recognised quality procedures.
- Obtain approval to stamp authorized workloads per job specifications and scope.
Autonomy & Continuous Improvement
- Operate independently in unsupervised rebuild and reworks tasks of LRUs.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and implement productivity and performance enhancement opportunities.
- Support lean manufacturing principles, contributing towards cost reduction initiatives.
- Promote ongoing improvements in safety, health, and environment (SHE) practices.

People & Task Management
- Self-driven professional development (coupled with an up-to-date skills matrix), ensuring operational flexibility.
- Participate in annual and interim Performance Development Reviews (PDRs) with the Value Stream Manager.
Role-Based Communication
- Engage in morning shift meetings to align on team targets, key concerns, operations updates and on-site health and safety matters.
- Efficiently escalate issues to the Value Stream Manager in a timely manner.
Required Skills
- Understanding and application of lean methodology and principles.
- Strict adherence to SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) requirements for personnel and procedural safety.
- Consistent completion of tasks within deadlines to the required technical standard.
- Minimising work order variances to ensure smooth iso 9001 compliance processes.
- Impact attendance and commitment to company objectives.
- ITAR knowledge (ITAR-compliant handling during recruitment process).
