Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Fitter, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Performing planned preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
- Identifying faults, defects, and required alterations to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Collaborating with trades and maintenance teams to maintain operational readiness
- Ensuring all work adheres to safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Suggesting cost-effective improvements to systems and processes to enhance efficiency

This is a 36-hour-per-week role, working on-site at HMNB Clyde.
Essential Requirements
You’ll need:
- Practical experience working with electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance processes
- Knowledge of regulations, health and safety standards, and documentation, including safe systems of work
- Ability to diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and complete installations
Applicants must be:
- A British national able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance
- This role is subject to national security vetting and trade control restrictions. Applicants may face limitations based on nationality, place of birth, or residency history. Further details are available at UK Government Security Vetting.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Maintenance, or equivalent essential*
- Experience with fire alarm systems, security systems, or CCTV (highly desirable)
Security clearance will be required for successful candidates.
