Senior Electrical Technician – Legal Rebuilds (LRUs), Wimborne, Dorset
Located in Wimborne, Dorset, Eaton’s Aerospace division is a global leader in aerospace fuel systems, renowned for delivering fully integrated solutions for both fixed and rotary-wing aircraft.

About the Role
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Has completed a recognised apprenticeship or experience to an equivalent depth
- Demonstrates relevant experience within the electrical technician skill group
- This role suits an experienced Time Served Electrical Technician with 10+ years’ experience
- Fault finding and PCB repair with soldering experience would be beneficial
- A strong skill base within an aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) base is a plus

Responsibilities
Task Management
- Strip, survey and rebuild electrical LRUs (Black Boxes) following agreed engineering methods and processes
- PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) of electrical LRUs
- Conduct component-level repairs on PCBs
- Complete surveys and repairs to agreed practices
- Ensures compliance with Quality procedures by adhering to processes
Autonomy
- Carries out Strip, Survey and Rebuild, PAT of electrical LRUs without direct supervision
- Works with the team to identify productivity and performance improvement opportunities for cost reductions
- Understands lean manufacturing processes and collaborates with the team
- Supports continuous development of Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) requirements
People Management
- Actively manages and develops their own skills to ensure cross-training via the Skills Matrix
- Participates in annual and interim Performance Development Reviews (PDRs) with the Value Stream Manager

Communication
- Attends shift-start briefings to review team targets, key issues, and critical communications (e.g. safety, scheduling)
- Attends mornings-day work scheduling meetings
- Escalates issues promptly to the Value Stream Manager as required
Key Skills & Accountabilities
- Achieve and maintain approval for the Operator Stamp (scope-approved relevant to the role)
- Demonstrates an understanding of lean methodology and principles
- Completes tasks on time and to the required standard
- Minimises job card variances for consistency
- Adheres to SHE requirements, ensuring compliance with employer’s legal health, safety, and welfare obligations
