The Role: Fixed Wire Testing Electrician
We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Inspector to contribute to our EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) testing services across commercial and industrial sites. Your role will involve:
- Conducting fully compliant 2391 Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
- Identifying, documenting, and reporting defects and non-compliance while offering fix verificationутeam and clarity in reports.
- Ensuring adherence to BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition) and industry standards.
- Maintaining a strong working knowledge of testing equipment and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre- and post-completion EICRs, APLs (Avoid Periodic Testing) and fix verification checks on industrial/construction sites.
- Adhere to legal, safety, and company standards, delivering accurate and professional reports to clients and stakeholders.
- Communicate findings clearly with clients, contractors, or internal team members, offering expert advice on corrective actions.
- Keep up to date with BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and emerging industry standards and guidelines.
- Support a team culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance testing processes and reporting.
Person Specification & Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
✔ Minimum of 3 years’ experience in electrical inspection, testing or related fields. ✔ City & Guilds 2391-52 (Fixed Wire Installation On-Site Inspection & Testing) qualification (or equivalent). ✔ NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline. ✔ IET BS7671:2018 (18th Edition) Wiring Regulations qualification. ✔ Comprehensive technical knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, PAS 7000 & related health and safety documentation. ✔ UK driving license.
