A fantastic opportunity for Electricians looking to take their career in a new direction, using their technical expertise in a role that combines inspection, problem-solving, and customer interaction.
You'll play a key role in helping us maintain the electricity network that powers homes and residential buildings, ensuring our assets remain safe, compliant, and fit for the future.
You'll spend your days inspecting network assets, meeting customers, and solving access challenges, so if you're a people person who also likes cables, you're in good company!
Working across your local area, you'll engage with homeowners, landlords, and property managers, using the latest handheld technology to record inspection findings and support informed asset management decisions.
It's a role with real responsibility, variety, and very few days spent sitting behind a desk, all while helping to keep communities connected.
You Will
- Carry out detailed inspections of low-voltage electrical cables that branch off the main distribution network to supply individual properties.
- Gather and record accurate information to make sure all work meets health and safety requirements.
- Spot asset defects and raise them through the right channels, always keeping safety as the top priority.
- Securing access by liaising with landowners, tenants, and property management teams, and efficiently resolving or escalating any access refusals.
- Act as a company ambassador, presenting a professional and positive image to our customers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
