The Position

We’re looking for a Lecturer in Electrical Installation

Are you passionate about Electrical Installation and excited about sharing your knowledge? Whether you're an experienced educator or someone eager to transition into teaching, we're looking for individuals with a deep understanding of Electrical Installation studies. As an Electrical Installation Lecturer, you'll have the chance to apply your expertise and contribute to the growth of our students, from beginners to advanced learners. The ranges of qualifications could include full-time, part time, and evening programmes. Primarily the EAL qualifications from level 1 through to level 3 this would fall in line with our sections development plan.

What Skills Are We Looking For

  • Electrical Installation Knowledge: Strong practical understanding of Health & Safety, Installation Methods, Crafty Skills, Science and Principles.
  • Passion for Teaching: Genuine enthusiasm for teaching and fostering student curiosity.
  • Student Guidance: Supportive mentoring for students of different backgrounds and abilities.
  • Collaboration: Willingness to work with colleagues to improve the motor vehicle program.
  • Adaptability and Innovation: Openness to new teaching methods and staying updated with industry trends.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage classroom activities and materials efficiently.
  • Problem-solving: Capability to analyse vehicle issues and encourage students' critical thinking.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Establishing rapport with students and collaborating well with colleagues and industry partners.

Responsibilities For The Role

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Formal scheduled teaching
  • Tutorials / Progress Reviews and student assessment
  • Management of learning programmes and curriculum development
  • Student admissions and induction
  • Educational guidance
  • Preparation of learning materials and student assignments
  • Marking of students’ work
  • Marking of examinations
  • Management and supervision of student visit programmes
  • Research and other forms of scholarly activity related to the effective delivery of the curriculum
  • Marketing activities
  • Consultancy
  • Leadership of part-time staff
  • Administration and organisational activities
  • Personal professional development
  • Development of workshop materials
  • To liaise with vocational tutors

The Location

The site is based in Nuneaton

  • Unqualified 22-26: £27,529 - £30,961
  • Qualified: 27-36: £31,892 - £41,582
